Situated in the Finsbury Circus conservation area, a prime location in one of the UKs busiest communication hubs, 20 Finsbury Circus was transformed into modern open-plan offices across six storeys. Located right by Liverpool Street Station, this 1980s office building with a classic 1900s façade underwent refurbishments which fused sympathetic alterations, to maintain as much of the characteristic architectural style as possible, with modern detailing for a luxurious finish.

The goal of the renovation was to create a fully modernised space that would enhance the commercial desirability of the area for future tenants, so exceeding the clients’ expectations was a primary ambition of the project. Dolphin Solutions were brought on board to work with architects Sheppard Robson and contractor firm 8Build to provide high-quality and long-lasting products that would enrich the washrooms of the building and deliver innovative solutions to sustainability concerns.

An objective of the refurbishment was to improve the environmental impact of the property. We utilised smart products from our range in order to meet this challenge and reduce water consumption, such as our DS104 Wall Plate-Mounted Smart Taps, as well as DB125S-STL-2 Blue Electronic Infrared Taps and BCL363-316PSS Infrared Soap Dispensers to deliver a sleek yet efficient washroom system. These features were combined with products such as our DP5118PSS Prestige Hygiene Waste Bin and DP3111 Prestige Paper Towel Dispenser to maintain a hygienic space and reduce cross-contamination of bacteria, while also providing durability.

The classic 1980s concrete frame of the building posed limited space in some areas. To overcome these constraints and maximise efficiency, we employed space-saving products such as under-counter bins and bulk pack dispensers. The result was a very good BREEAM classification for sustainability and stylish and well-organised washroom spaces that work in tandem with the elegant and contemporary look of the updated property.
